Senior Project Manager Architect

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong interviewing and presentation skills
  • Business development a plus
  • Design, detailing, and construction experience/knowledge
  • Can lead and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously (including highly complex projects)
  • Proficiency in Revit required

Responsibilities:

  • Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings. Prepares and coordinates the review of contractor’s schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples.
  • Responsible for keeping the project, or a phase of a project, on schedule.
  • Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
  • Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issues.
  • Participates in review of project costs and budgets, adherence to schedule.
  • Heavily supports the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, review of shop drawings and coordination between consultants.
  • Implements and utilizes standards for all projects and processes.
  • May provide support to all team members for specific field, style, or phase of interior design expertise.
  • May mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff.
  • May participate in interviews and recruiting of professional staff.
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service/satisfaction.
  • Effective planning and scheduling of assigned projects from start to finish
  • Maintains high client satisfaction to further client relationships
  • Requires little or no guidance and supervision by Studio Directors, Partners, and/or Managing Partner

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture or Design
  • 7-10 years experience in interiors projects. (minimum 4 years in corporate interiors required)
  • Registered Architect or Designer

Senior Licensed Project Architect

  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of QA/QC process
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents.
  • Can lead and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously (including highly complex projects)
  • Understanding of ground up architecture
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with clients and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Enjoys coordinating technical challenges with project team, MEP, lighting and acoustical consultants, providing direction and guidance to team/consultants as needed.
  • Meets with municipal building department and other governing agency officials to coordinate approvals or variances.
  • Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions.
  • Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings. Prepares and coordinates the review of contractor’s schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples.
  • Assists the Specification Writer in product research, consulting with manufacturers, evaluating and selecting project related materials.
  • Involved with specification set-up and drawing coordination, research and appropriate use of standards.
